DAUGHTER OF RUSSIAN INTELLECTUAL CLOSE TO THE KREMLIN WAS KILLED IN A CAR EXPLOSION

The daughter of the Russian writer, close to the Kremlin, Alexander Dugin, was killed Saturday evening in a car explosion in the Moscow region, the Russian Investigative Committee announced in a statement today.

AFP reported that Daria Dugin, a journalist and political analyst, was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser when it exploded before it caught fire, on a highway near the village of Bolshey Vyazyumi, 40 kilometers from Moscow, according to the statement.

Investigators stated that an explosive device had been planted in the car.

Russian news agencies quoted members close to the family that the nationalist thinker and writer Alexander Dugin was the target of the explosion, explaining that Daria had borrowed her father’s car this time.
