Reuters quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying today that its forces launched strikes on Ukrainian sites in several parts of Ukraine, and accused Kyiv of carrying out the bombing near the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
The ministry added that Russian forces carried out strikes in the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, noting that the Ukrainian forces carried out an “unsuccessful” attack near Pravdin in Kherson.
The ministry said that the radiological situation in Zaporizhia, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, is still normal. It added that two Ukrainian bombing incidents were recorded near the facility on Saturday.
However, a Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman denied that Ukrainian forces had bombed near the facility.
