The city of Montreal witnessed a distinguished launch of the 8th Conference, which impressed Canadian entrepreneurs and government officials with its rich content on Egypt’s promising investment opportunities. The event was warmly welcomed by attendees, including high-level Canadian officials such as Ghislain Robichaud, Global Affairs Canada representative, and Marie-Josée Audet, Assistant Minister in the Province of Quebec for Africa and the Middle East Affairs. The conference featured fruitful and open dialogue between the two sides.
This mission was organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul Enein, Assistant Minister for American Affairs and Immigration, in collaboration with the Embassy of Egypt in Ottawa, led by Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, and in partnership with Engineer Moataz Raslan, Chairman of the Canada Egypt Business Council (CEBC), along with Miranda Gerges, a key executive in the organization.
The conference in Montreal was organized by Egyptian businessman Mr. Adel Boulos, Chairman of the Egyptian Canadian Businessmen Network (ECBN), in collaboration with Mr. Sherif Erfan, Commercial Attaché in Montreal.

The conference received notable media coverage by journalist Nour Sobhi and director Ahmed Bandok from the Milestone Podcast, in addition to other media entities.
The event’s activities extended to several Canadian cities, forming a new bridge of communication and collaboration between Egypt and Canada, coinciding with the celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Strategic Consultations and Consensus on Strengthening Cooperation
The Egyptian and Canadian delegations discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations across multiple areas, particularly in economy, development, culture, renewable energy, and petroleum. These discussions aimed at serving mutual interests and expanding the scope of future collaboration.
Both sides emphasized the presence of promising investment opportunities that deserve further exploration and development, with a shared interest in boosting trade and deepening partnerships in key sectors.
Shared Vision and Future Coordination
The Egyptian delegation presented a comprehensive overview of Egypt’s economic environment and internationally recognized structural reforms, along with various incentives and facilities available for investors. These efforts aim to enhance investment flows and increase Egyptian exports to the Canadian market.
Discussions also addressed several regional and international issues of mutual interest, during which the two sides exchanged perspectives on global challenges. They stressed the importance of maintaining ongoing consultation and strategic coordination.
It is worth noting that Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul Enein led a diverse and high-level Egyptian delegation during this important visit. The delegation included members of parliament and business leaders who participated in a series of meetings and economic forums aimed at promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors.
