The Government of Canada is exploring options, including working with partners and likeminded governments, to provide support to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and their eligible family members in the affected region.
Travellers are responsible for paying for their own commercial travel, accommodations, meals and other costs.

The definition of an eligible family member is:
- the spouse or common-law partner of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- a dependent child (under 22) of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or of the spouse or common-law partner of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- a dependent child (under 22) of a dependent child (under 22)
