ORBÁN: NATO PLANS TO ESTABLISH MILITARY BASES IN POLAND, ROMANIA AND SLOVAKIA
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán revealed on Radio Kossuth, as reported by Focus, that NATO plans to establish military bases in Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Thus, it will strengthen the support provided to Ukraine against the background of the ongoing conflicts.
Orbán specified that this initiative, called the “NATO Mission in Ukraine”, aims to streamline the process of supplying weapons to Kiev. Therefore, NATO will strengthen the military capacity of Ukraine.
On June 13, NATO members agreed on an operational plan that marks a major shift toward a more active role in the conflict. According to DPA, citing Alliance sources, this plan focuses not only on supplying weapons, but also on training the Ukrainian armed forces to ensure they are better prepared.–agencies
