A magnitude-5.6 earthquake on the Richter scale struck on Friday Khoy city in West Azerbaijan Province, central Iran, no casualties reported.
According to sources affiliated to Iran’s Seismological Center (IRSC) reported that the tremor occurred at a depth of 8 km, and it was felt by the people of West Azerbaijan Province and its neighboring province of Urmia.
Khoy city was subjected to three earthquakes during the past five months, rangining between 5.4 and 5.9 magnitudes, in addition to recording more than 40 aftershocks to date.
