FIRST RUSSIAN PASSPORTS ISSUED TO RESIDENTS OF SOUTHERN UKRAINE

   Russia handed over today the first Russian passports to residents of the city of Kherson occupied by Russian forces in southern Ukraine, Agence France-Presse reported, quoting Russian news agencies.

According to the official TASS news agency, 23 residents of Kherson received a Russian passport during a ceremony, according to a simplified procedure provided by a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the end of May.
